Gray Matters
The clock is ticking, another beautiful day comes to an end. Looking at the mirror, I was amazed that I will be turning quadragenarian soon. I can see a few white hair popping out, but thought of dismissing the observation by citing it as some light reflection play. A quick introspection about gaining maturity sweeps through the mind. But I still feel young at heart, still face dilemma while taking key decisions, still want to celebrate small wins and above all I still want to dream BIG!
The journey so far, has been tough but rewarding as well — so no complains. Life is a continuous learning experience and my key learnings were not acquired from the regular education system. There is a significant difference between practical and theoretical knowledge. Schools & colleges just act as a launchpad and enabled me to explore and carve out my own future. Its the people I have met during my life, the decisions I have taken to walk my own path and the failures which I encountered, has enriched my learning experience.
There is still a possibility of diverging from your learning through some pre-conceived notions about success, money and power which moulds the lifestyle. I am a huge fan of Zen principles. The key to get back on track, lies in not overthinking, avoiding or controlling every little thing in your life. Life goes faster than we think. We should try to make every moment count as we never know what the future brings. I believe most of the people have learnt this lesson a very hard way during the multiple waves of Covid19 pandemic.
Phew! Looks like I am on the right track of learning but should not link it to my white hair. The credit should go to my real Gray matter which helps in filtering the information, processing it and creating wonderful memories.
There is a quote which I keep stating it to my elder daughter — “Experience is Everything. Everything is Experience.” And I always wish that all beings experience happiness.
